You have a bright idea hidden somewhere in the back of your mind that you just can't wait to test out. The question is, do you really want to bring it out into the light? What could motivate you to churn your creative, inspiring juices to their utmost flavor?

Did you know that it always helps to set a time limit to your personal goals? Set yourself up so you can accomplish the most tasks in record time. For example, mowing the lawn in an hour before the big game on TV. A correct and positive attitude in whatever you do will make things easier, and even enjoyable.

It's simple. If you begin to allow yourself a bit of positive thinking then you will begin to realize things that you never thought possible. Thinking big is indeed the American Way and that what made our country prosperous. You can follow other great Americans who tapped into their creative mind and began to thing big..

Discover some tips to make it through your first week of possibility thinking even if you're just sitting in your favorite couch. Your mind is constantly at work for you. Tap into it's great resource while doing everyday activities.

1. Act. You must take passionate action towards living your life by design. Talk is cheap. Action = deposits in the bank of a passionately authentic future. My mother (probably quoting someone else) always said, "Action speaks louder than words". Without action, passion is void.

Dreams become reality when you simply start by tinkering with your mind, then with your hands. And if the idea weakens or falters you can always go back to it later until you finish it. Thomas Edison and his Dream Team had to go back to the idea of a light bulb and recalculate it over 1,000 times before the first working light bulb begin to light the world.

2. Love. Commit to yourself. Then commit to those you love to powerfully create a life you can love. Instead of reacting, commit to creating from your heart and soul, out of love rather than fear. The American Dream will always be there, but a dream will still be a dream without motion. Be amazed as the transformation begins.

3. Live. Embrace moments and opportunities. Recognize and embrace the thought that each moment is perfect regardless of its outcome. Every time you hit on something that may appear too extreme why not give it a shot anyway. See if it will work. You may be surprised with the results. If you are not then decide to use that moment to learn from it and make the appropriate shift. Learning and growing from mistakes and failures is a part of living.

4. Be grateful. Dwell completely in a place of gratitude. Learn to utilize what you have in your hands and make use of it in the most constructive way. Necessity is the mother of invention. Have you ever been stuck without something you needed and had to make do with something else? (MacGyver, from the famous tv show, was famous for that!) How grateful were you that you had the means to solve your situation? Slipping into neediness will become less of a habit when you repeatedly shift towards gratitude and away from poverty consciousness.

5. Be Passionate. Use a Passion Formula of Recognize/Reevaluate/Restore in place of the Shoulda/Woulda/Coulda whirlwind. The former is based on increased knowledge and abundance while the latter focuses on scarcity and lack. As you face people or tasks that may seem harder than scaling the summit of the Himalayas, allow yourself to realize that the task is just as important as giving out orders to your subordinates. You would rather be richly passionate!

6. Laugh. Keep humor at the forefront of thought, laughing at and with yourself whenever possible. You may find yourself quite entertaining when you loosen up! I have yet to see a comedian ever go hungry even though his jokes are as 'old as great-grandma'. Life has too much to offer to allow yourself to mope around in self pity. Humor is very attractive, very passionate: life-giving.

7. Discover Your Purpose. Believe that you are the architect of your destiny. Realizing how you wish to be remembered when you pass from this life is a truly driving force. Your purpose for being can be a seemingly simple as being a great parent to as elaborate as discovering miraculous cures.

When you have a strong purpose no one can take your passionate future from you except for you! Truly, as long as there's still breath in your body, there is no end to how much you can accomplish in a lifetime. Discovering and following your purpose will enable you to enjoy your work. Celebrate in the discovery that acting on your creative mind's thoughts is fulfilling your purpose. Watch everything flow into place with perfect, passionate precision.

Activate your positive thinking. Stretch your imagination. Think bigger than you feel comfortable. Act on your thoughts. The number one tip here is action. You want to start practicing these steps.

Think about this: It is unfortunate that so many people still do not use a computer because it appears too complicated to begin using. Or maybe they just keep putting it off till a more convenient time. These are just a couple of limitations one can set up for themselves. Limitations and failure to act on ideas and opportunities leave many as a dim bulb in a dark corner.

Alert! You are not doomed to darkness. You are interested in living a life of purpose and love. The wonderful, creative idea in you is about to be released. You are interested in doing this because you are reading this article. Fortunately if you truly desire something, the will to attain it will open your creative mind to find a way.

Now you need only to begin to act on your desire to create. Act now! Make your path to creativity and follow your purpose. Take your first step today with a positive attitude.

Source: http://www.articlecube.com

Marie Gervacio is founder and editor of Article Blender.com ShineYourStar.com, and SimpleBeautyTips.com.

All of us who create go through phases of feeling blocked, stuck or uninspired. If we don’t create for a while, whether it’s 10 hours or 10 years, it’s easy to soon get caught up in negative mental cycles and paralyse our creativity further.

We’ve no doubt all experienced the paradox of knowing that the solution is just to create and yet creating is also the problem!

So here are 5 gentle steps you could take to get your creativity flowing again:

1. Write spontaneously for an hour. Whether writing is your major creative outlet or not, sit down somewhere you won’t be disturbed for at least an hour with a pen and paper and just write.

“I couldn’t think what to write” I can hear you cry! Just write and ideas will flow, even if you start by writing a page of lines saying “I can’t think what to write!”, the process will at some level unlock your creativity and give you permission to be more creative and imaginative. Write without stopping for an hour if you can. Make it 30 minutes as an absolute minimum.

2. Visit somewhere completely different. Somewhere you’ve never been to before. It could be somewhere connected with the arts and creativity like a gallery or exhibition. It could be a building or monument you’ve always wanted to go to. It could be somewhere deep in nature, such as in a forest or up in the mountains, or simply your local park or nature reserve.

Wherever you choose, make it somewhere that will give you a major change of scenery from where you are right now. Somewhere that will stimulate and energise you and give you, even for a few moments, a completely fresh outlook on the world.

3. List all your positive achievements. It can be easy to forget and overlook all that we achieve in our lives, or dismiss them saying “ah it’s nothing, anyone could’ve done that.” Yet each of us are unique and have our own combination of creative abilities.

Make a list of every possible thing you can think of that you’ve done that’s creative. Start with the bigger events that instantly come to mind, or alternatively start by listing everything you did yesterday that was creative, from the simplest things - like making a meal, the way you dressed or an idea you had - upwards.

4. Be a camera. Go somewhere where there’s plenty to see and use your eyes as if you were a camera taking pictures all around you. Adopt the attitude that inspiration is in the tiny details. Imagine you have to document a scene in pictures as thoroughly as possible, catching every last subtle feature and element.

Spend at least an hour gathering pictures in your mind. Then, remove yourself from the scene and write and/or draw as much as you can remember.

5. Create a powerful future vision. Either through writing, drawing, painting or any other medium you choose, create a vision of how your creative life is going to be in your wildest dreams in 3, 5 or 10 years time.

Pick a future date and write from then in the present tense as if you’re there already. Be bold, daring and imaginative, cram in as much detail as you can. Describe where you’ll live, who you’ll be with, what you’re days will be spent doing, what you’re creative achievements have been and connect yourself with it as fully as you can.

Any of these techniques can help to get your creativity flowing again, try them all and see which works best for you. The one thing they all have in common is they’re about taking action and doing something different. So next time you’re feeling your creativity is in crisis, be brave, take a positive new action and see how soon your creativity flows again...

© Copyright 2006 Dan Goodwin

By: Dan Goodwin

Source: http://www.articledashboard.com

Want to learn more about how to increase your creativity? They are the constant light in the distance that call us forward, urge us ever closer to being all we can be. Without them we’re in danger of drifting aimlessly in the dark.

Yet there is a balance. Some of the most rewarding moments in life come when we stop and look back for a moment and realise how far we’ve come since we last took the time to look.

Are your dreams lready here?

So think about your own creative life.

Many great things have started as an simple, creative idea. Consider donating some of your best ideas to help others. The more creative you are, the more ideas you will be able to create. You can be creative even if you don't think you are.

I have known many people that were scared to use a computer for the first few times. However, after diving into it they became more comfortable. They were willing to take a risk and make some mistakes. The result was an ability to learn and do things they would never be able to do without the use of a computer.

Being creative and thinking up world-changing ideas occurs in the same way. Everyone can be creative but they have to be willing to start. The creative process will then become more natural over time.

Try the following tips to help you on your journey to be more creative:

1. Record your ideas on whatever is comfortable and convenient at the moment. What is important is that you record your ideas. In the past, I have forgotten ideas that I thought of when I was on a walk. Now I carry a digital recorder with me on those walks. At other times I use my computer, notepad or journal. Choose what will work best for you and make sure you have a way to record your ideas at all times. You never know when an important idea will surface.

2. Don't limit yourself to ideas that seem possible. Capture all of your ideas. Even those that seem impossible to implement are important for a couple of reasons. First, what seems impossible to you may not be impossible sometime in the future or for someone else. Second, impossible ideas encourage further creative ideas that might be more likely to be implemented.

3. Change your scenery or location. A change in scenery can stimulate the creativity inside you. A change might be as simple as looking out a window. You can also visit someplace new like a park, beach, or mall. The new environment can foster new ideas.

4. Read on many topics. It is amazing how many things in a totally unrelated subject can prompt new ideas. By broadening your knowledge into more areas, you make your creativity potential grows.

5. Go for a walk. Some of my best ideas have happened when I was on a walk. This applies to any form of moderate exercise. I have heard of others that have written articles and speeches while waalking or jogging.

6. Focus in 10-15 minute increments. It does not take a significant amount of time to brainstorm some potential ideas. In fact, brainstorming works best when done for short periods of time. Concentrate for a few minutes on generate as many ideas to address a specific area or problem. Then capture anything that comes to mind throughout the rest of the day (see tip #1). You will have several ideas for consideration for little investment of time. One of those could become something tremendous for helping others.

7. Think big. What question are you asking to prompt your ideas? The larger the question, the larger the impact those ideas may have on the world. You can start by addressing smaller problems but don't limit yourself to those. You have unique experiences, knowledge and talents that should be applied to helping others on a grand scale as well.

Follow these tips and you will be on your way to generating ideas that have the potential to change the world. Don't let your previous lack of creativity keep you from developing and donating your ideas. Get started today.

Source: www.easyarticles.com

About the Author: To learn more ways to give to others, sign up for the free Everyday Giving ezine at http://www.everydaygiving.com.

By: Mario Churchill

Creativity, in its general sense is truly a vague idea that requires compartmentalization of ideas before one can actually arrive to a more concrete concept.

In its primary sense, creativity is one facility that man has. This helps him to create or to reproduce something out from his own interpretation or from the ideas that were copied from another person's concepts.

The possibility of using creativity is endless. We can use this factor on virtually everything that we can think of. Persuasion is one type of creativity. One must use his proper faculties in creating a desired response from a person. Art is full of creativity. As we know it, without the drive to produce something, art would be turned into mere nothing. Music is creativity. Literature is one form of creativity along with others.

However, even if one seems to be creative for very long periods, there are times when he can't help but sit with blank stare. In such moments, creativity is sapped. What could be the reasons? Are there things that we must consider so as to determine what truly affects one's person's ability to create something out from his innate capacities?

These are some of the common ideas that hamper the materialization of creativity in us.

Fatigue and Lack of Inspiration- This actually does not deal on the physical fatigue but on the mental and emotional aspects. This normally roots from the lack of satisfaction in things that we do. When one no longer find sense on what he is doing, the capacity to create suffers. Or say, when the inspiration is redirected towards obligation.

Artists are not meant to be obliged to produce something the inspiration must come from natural environments which were crafted from a necessity within the scope of inner drives and not from outside motivations such as profit, fame and etc.

Stoppage of an activity- Start is never good enough unless it is pushed through to its end. For one reason or another, a person may either stop right after the idea pops out of his mind or stop right before he finishes his project. It may be stranger but there seems to be a common denominator to all those people who practice doing this- they all loose interest eventually after accumulating unfinished stuffs. Thus, as a philosopher once said- all things that were started must be finished, no matter what the consequences may be.

Cluttered thoughts- Especially in writing, it is crucial that thoughts are organized in such a way that they are presented systematically towards the readers. Often, if this is the problem, the artists may either find himself at loss with his thoughts while trying to reorganize stuffs and ideas or it may also be that the onlookers would find his work confusing.

It is observed that cluttered working space is also a great contributor to the gradual gnawing of your creativity. While it is an artist's nature to be disorganized, he must still secure to it that things are put into proper order as this evidently affects the mind.

The inner wisdom- It is the ultimate source for inspiration, some people would even call this as the Divine Guidance. Whichever name you prefer, this seems to be the pipe from which we draw our inspiration to be creative. Most people find this inner self on accident. This does not negate the fact though that it can be outsourced through guidance; say a saying from a book or a teaching from a guru. Nonetheless, this must be nourished and should be well regarded so you would have a continuous supply of creativity in you.

The last thing is to never say no to your calling, you must always be alert that you entertain your thoughts and drives. Say for a poet, when one line of thought passes your mind, you must be eager to write this right away before the moment passes.

Article Source: http://www.articlerich.com

Mario Churchill is a freelance author and has written over 200 articles on various subjects.
