Why Creative Visualization Works

4. Feb 2008 01:57, shahjee

Experience has shown that creative visualization works. It is quite possible to prove that circumstances and events follow thoughts. Take any situation or happening in your life, and go back to find what kind of thoughts preceded the event. You will find out that a particular event, followed particular thoughts.

Here are the reasons why visualization produces results:

# We are an inseparable part of the creative Universal Mind. Our thoughts are projected into this omnipotent power, and cause its tremendous power act on our behalf. The Universal mind and us are partners in creating our life.

# Everything in the Universe is interconnected. Each thought, action and event in the universe are connected and influence each other. Each thought and action cause reactions and repercussions.

# Everything in the Universe is energy. We see differences because each object has a different wavelength and density. We live in an ocean of energy. Each wave in this ocean influences the other waves. Thoughts, as part of this body of energy, work with the creative Universal energy and interact with it.

# Thoughts are like a magnet, they attract similar thoughts and circumstances. Thinking one thought invites into the mind more similar thoughts and ideas. These thoughts tend to attract circumstances that are in accordance with them.

# A clear mental image radiates from the mind of the one thinking it, and is transmitted to other minds. Whoever is receptive to this kind of thought may perceive it and act on it, thus being the agent to fulfill the desire.

# By repeating the same thoughts day after day, the subconscious mind is driven to act on them. In this way habits and behavior are formed. The thoughts that sink into the subconscious mind drive people into corresponding action.

# Each thought we think arouses an associated emotion. If the emotion is strong enough, it incites to action. Strong thoughts energized by emotions cause more energetic and definite action than weak thoughts. Such an action brings results in accordance with the thought that prompted it.

# Similar thoughts bring people together. When one person has a need, and the other can supply it, their thinking can bring them together in a surprising manner. This is what we call a coincidence.

Some time ago I have heard the following story, which can illustrate such a coincidence:

A woman has been searching for of a new job as a graphic designer. One morning, while going towards her car, she found out that she had a flat tire. Reluctantly, she took the spare tire out, and prepared herself for the unpleasant task of changing it.

As she was trying to loosen the screws of the tire, a car stopped by, and the driver asked her if she needed any assistance. She accepted his help, and while changing the wheel they started to talk.

It turned out that he owned a graphics designing company, and needed desperately a qualified and experienced graphic designer. To her surprise and joy, he requested her to come to his office later during the day, with her certificates and recommendations for an interview.

She did not have to wait for the interview, as she was always carrying her certificates and recommendations with her. When he saw them, he was deeply impressed and hired her on the spot.

This meeting brought together two people who needed each other in some way. It was no coincidence, as one was thinking about hiring someone, and the other about finding a new job. Their thoughts brought them into meeting each other.

Imagination- The Power Of Visualization

23. Nov 2007 22:29, shahjee

Everyone has had those days where you just know things are going to be all bad, like someone who has a minor car accident on the way to work. Explaining to a colleague what happened they state "Oh well, I should brace myself since these things always come in threes!" The very fact that is what they really believe is undoubtedly going to bring two more encounters like it straight their way. Sure enough, lunch time saw them trip and sprain their ankle, having to leave work early and visit the doctor. On arriving home they find a letter in the mail stating the insurance on the car was past due and had been canceled accordingly!

The idea behind using the power of visualization to draw opportunities into your life for achieving your goals and reaching success is to train your mind. You can’t lazily allow your imagination to wander towards worrying about the future or feeling fearful about your health, because if you do you are supporting the possibility of those thoughts coming to fruition. When a challenge or difficult situation arises, deal with it and move on to thinking, focusing and feeling those dreams you know are going to come true.

You have to be constantly reminded to re-focus your thoughts and feeling towards your goals and desires. Whether you simply want a list on the wall next to your bed or you do a full manifestation chart or story board, it needs to stir the emotions and thoughts associated with achieving your dreams. Using a stack of magazines to cut out and paste picture and words in a collage is a great idea, and the whole time you work on it you are in a state of meditation about want you want. Whenever you see it you will remember the passion and heart that you put into your creation, which can be very motivating. The better you can make it look, the more inclined you will be to hand it somewhere others can see, which is a good influence for them and because you will focus on your dreams more though discussing them.

Making a manifestation chart is also fantastic for people who feel unsure about what they really want. By looking through magazines and journals you will begin to form your own future. Choosing anything from holiday locations and a new wardrobe to spiritual words and requests for insight will enable you to know yourself better. As the ideas begin to appear in your life one by one in one way or another, your self confidence and sense of belief in yourself will grow beyond measure.

The law of attraction involves more than constraining yourself to constantly thinking about the things you want. You have to utilize the full power of your imagination to really put yourself there, wherever you want to be. If it is the promotional work or the company you want to start, spend time every day stimulating all your senses by visualizing it. Let's say you have a dream of spending time living and working in Australia: Meditate daily and use visualization to see the waves rolling to the shore, feel the sun on your skin, and smell the salt in the air and the faint scent of eucalyptus from the gum trees. Walk through a day in your Australian job in your mind, and see your home there too, right down to the color schemes and furniture. All the emotions associated with achieving something you really wanted will be stirred, and remember to always imagine it as though it already is.

When you want to draw positive experiences towards you, your thoughts are as powerful as your feelings. Focusing your mind on getting married while constantly feeling angry and unhappy with your partner is not going to get you there. You need to spend time believing you are already in that secure and committed relationship, and feel grateful for the good qualities your partner has. When you feel positive and thankful for everything you do have, more will come gushing your way. Having beautiful wedding and marriage related pictures on your chart will help keep you on track, and include some phrases like I have found my soul mate or my partner is beautiful, as an example.

Anyone who wants to truly access the power of the law of attraction has to feel genuinely grateful and thankful all the time. Everyone has the ability to observe and retrain thought patterns that are responsible for daily emotional ups and downs. If allowed to run free, the imagination will naturally wander towards things you don’t want in your life, so it is important to monitor your thoughts and keep your mind in check. Use the power of visualization to take you where you want to go and remember to feel, think and see everything as

Nine Marching Orders to Stay the Line

15. Sep 2007 00:45, shahjee

Burning with motivation is not always easy no matter what you are trying to accomplish. For those that are trying to get fit, motivation can even be harder. Whatever it is that you are trying to get fired up to do; there are a specific tactics that can help. You can stay motivated to accomplish almost any goal.

Visualize and see Your Goals in 3D:

When you crystallize your goals and imagine what the end results will be, you are more likely to stay motivated. You may feel more motivated by a picture of what you are working towards or need a daily visual reminder of that dream vacation you are saving money for. By keeping a visual picture in your mind and imagining yourself at your end result, you can stay inflamed to accomplish any goal.

Reward Yourself Handsomely:

Keeping pumped up can be easier if you take the time to treat yourself when you reach small milestones along the way. If you are trying a new fitness plan, try to reward yourself with a new pair of gym shoes or maybe new workout equipment. Knowing that there is something good along the way to your goal will help keep you excited about achieving your goals and you will find second wind.

See an Energizing Movie or Listen to Motivating Music:

I do this all the time. You can get all keyed up to reach your goals by watching a motivating movie (war or boxing films do great) or listening to music that will get you pumped about your goals. Look for movies that will help you see others work hard to reach their own goals. You will come out of the movie feeling ready to get busy and accomplish your goals. Music can also help you stay motivated. If you want to walk more, invest in a good MP3 system and listen to upbeat music to keep you moving. An associate, Ricardo Laudico, keeps stashes of motivational music in a 40Gb Ipod to keep focused. Not surprisingly, he’s hit many short term goals in less than a year.

Set Bit-Sized Goals and take a Breather:

Whether you are working towards saving for a new house or going vegan to lose a few pounds, set manageable goals for yourself and take a break every once in awhile. By deploying small goals, you will not feel too overwhelmed at one time. You can work on each step that will equal to big results in the end. Also, if you do get overwhelmed, take a break. Achieving your goals will not happen overnight. If you feel frustrated, take a day off and rethink your plans. Richard Bandler, founder of NLP postulates the question: “How do you eat an Elephant?” The correct answer always is: “A Bite at a Time”

Seek a Wingman and do it for yourself:

You can achieve anything with staunch conviction. If you work on a goal because you believe you can do it, it will be easy for you to stay motivated. While working on your goals, if you do need an extra push, find a partner who can keep you on track. You may have a buddy who wants to lose weight or get in shape, too. Work with that person to motivate each other when your own motivation starts to slump.

Prove them Wrong. With Flair:

Each is motivated for different reasons, but one way to stay inflamed is to remember all the times someone told you that you couldn’t do it. Prove the negative people around you wrong and accomplish your goals to show them you can. While you should never try to live your life for the approval of others, your internal passion may improve when you try to impress others. Feel good about what you can do, and others will sit up and take notice.

See It as Fun that You want to do:

You may desire to achieve a goal that you find very difficult. It may help to stay motivated by finding something fun about what you are doing. Achieve your goals because you want to do it and not because others want you to. When you find intrinsic motivation, it will be easier to stay the course.

Seek Mentors and Help the Untalented:

Chat with others who labored to accomplish the goals you are working towards. Listen to what they have to say and consider their suggestions. For people who have already been there, they can offer valuable advice and this should help you stay motivated. It would also be good to aid others while you are accomplishing your goals. If you know someone else is depending on you, it will be easier for you to keep up the good fight.

Revitalize your Routine:

Boredom kills. The rut sucks the spirit. I know. I’m an entrepreneur… and as things go, businessmen do the same thing day in day out. As activities become mechanical, the flames for achievement go out. Stop that! Vary your lifestyle and do things differently. Your brain will enjoy the stimulation… and with it, returns your motivation.
